Lightning brings the Sunbird calendar to the popular email client, Mozilla Thunderbird. Since it's an extension, Lightning is tightly integrated with Thunderbird, allowing it to easily perform email-related calendaring tasks.

Review:	I'm trying to find a version of Lightning for Earlybird (Win-64 Thunderbird). The "Nightly" Lightning version I found adds an entry to the Earlybird Help menu for locating future Lightning versions when they become available. I'd like to run 64-bit Win64 Lightning in my Vista x64 Ultimate environment (my Notebook computer doesn't have drivers for Windows 7, crippling the installation, so I'm staying with Vista, and 64-bit Vista boots in 1/3 the time as 32-bit). On my Desktop OpenSUSE 12.2 x64 Linux system system I'm running Thunderbird-Lightning with great success... now Vista... The "placeholder" gives me some joy to see that Win64 is planned for and will someday receive attention. So, I'll keep watching and hoping.
