Lightworks is a powerful tool that allows you to create and edit video files, by importing a series of clips, audio or images. Not only does the program offer comprehensive tools for software editing, but it also features smart file management options. You may import items and store them into collections and bins. Lightworks has the widest native format support available in any professional NLE. MXF, Quicktime and AVI containers, with almost every format you can think of importing natively without the need for transcoding, from ProRes, Avid DNxHD, AVC-Intra, DVCPRO HD, RED R3D, DPX, AVCHD (with AC3 audio), H.264, XDCAM EX / HD 422, all on the same timeline in realtime. Lightworks video editor allows you to control the media files’ synchronization on the timeline, add videos, audio and pictures, as well as modify the speed options. You may manage the video and two audio streams separately. Moreover, the application allows you to add a large variety of video effects and transitions.
