DisplayLink USB Graphics Driver/Utility 10.1 Alpha


This is R10.1 Alpha, a preview of DisplayLink USB Graphics Software R10.1 for Windows, available for evaluation and feedback before release.

DisplayLink software release 10.1 will deliver the following features:

- DL GPU encoder update – Enables improved user experience across platforms targeting the needs of the evolving workplace
- Hot desk / hoteling package update with optional MAC address passthrough facility
- General stability updates and bug fixes

Changes since 10.0 M0 release (10.0.82.0/10.0.82.0):

- Added driver Directed PoFx (DFx) for Windows 10 20H1 WHLK/WHCP on platforms
with embedded DisplayLink IC (32214)
- In rare cases monitor blanking was ineffective at device unplug (32574)
- Windows 10 user mode driver crash fixes (32224, 32462)
- DL-5xxx: extended U2422H monitor to enable high colour mode at 640x480p75 via DisplayPort

Known Issues:

- When upgrading from R8.1, disconnecting and re-plugging the USB of the product using DisplayLink technology is necessary (25057, 25075)
- For security reason, we recommend Windows 7 users have KB2533623 installed (31031)
- Windows 7 requires Microsoft KB3033929 or later installed to validate SHA-256 driver signature hashing. SHA1 has been deprecated (23965)
- Devices with mass storage or auto-install are not supported by Windows 10 UMDF USB driver DisplayLink uses (21959)
- Windows 10 Anniversary Update sets the wrong preferred mode 9124025 (23871)

To install this package please do the following:

- Make sure that all system requirements are met.
- Save the downloadable package on an accessible location (such as your desktop).
- Locate and double-click on the newly-downloaded file.
- Allow Windows to run the file (if necessary).
- Read EULA (End User Licence Agreement) and agree to proceed with the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Close the wizard and perform a system reboot to allow changes to take effect.

About Graphics Drivers:
