Changes in revision 1.12 of the Intel Memory and Storage Tool (Intel MAS) GUI include:

- Resolved firmware update for Optane P5800X Series
- Added namespace overprovisioning support
- Corrected the capacity calculation displayed in drive info

The Intel Memory and Storage Tool (Intel MAS) is drive management software for Windows that allows you to view current drive information, perform firmware updates, run full diagnostic scans, perform secure erase processes, and provide SMART attributes from Intel SSDs.

Note:

- The Windows download includes the GUI and CLI version of the tool.
- Non Intel SSD's are not supported.
- You can use this tool to update firmware for PCIe /NVMe - and SATA-based Client and Datacenter Intel SSD drives.
- Installation and User Guides can be found in the downloadable .zip package.

If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.
