FinFamily is an application for managing your genealogical data. The java application is swing based with Webstart option. It uses PostgreSQL database for storage. FinFamily has extra features for Finnish genealogy but is not limited to Finland.

FinFamily is currently available in English, Finnish, Swedish and German. All program texts are located conveniently in two Excel files and creating new language versions is a very straightforward task. There are also plans to create a version in the French. The Excel files are distributed also with the binary distribution in the folder Resources/excel. FinFamily.xls contains all texts you see on the program such as menus, buttons etc. TypesExcel.xls contains texts/word needed to create reports. This means that by translating the latter smaller file with two excel sheets enables you to create reports in your language even though menus would still be in e.g. English.
