System Healthcheck (SHC) is a suite of tools that assesses the health of your computing environment by identifying security, performance and configuration problems before they can impact your critical operations. These tools are used to support the SHC assessment service.

SHC assessments are executed against sets of best practice system management rules for HP-UX, OpenVMS, Windows 2000/2003/2008, Red Hat Linux and SUSE Linux.

Leveraging state-of-the-art expert system-based software tools, HP has developed a complete portfolio of System Health Check services to provide you with a quick, yet thorough, evaluation of your HP-UX, OpenVMS, Windows 2000/2003/2008, Red Hat Linux or SUSE Linux environments.

SHC assessment service is a feature of HP mission critical support services such as:

System Health Check Direct Service provides a service report via automated online delivery. This service is recommended if you are familiar with self-help tools and have an interest in managing your own systems.
System Health Check Remote Service provides a service report including an executive summary, findings, and recommendations, and is delivered electronically. A brief review and consultation are conducted via telephone. This service is recommended if you require a fast assessment of your system and a brief HP consultation on the resultant analysis and recommendations.
System Health Check Onsite Service provides a service report including an executive summary, findings, and recommendations, and is delivered to and reviewed with you, as part of a day of onsite advisory consultation. This service is recommended if you require a fast assessment of your system, HP consultation on the resultant analysis and recommendations, and additional consultation on system configuration, performance, or security concerns.

SHC software contains cryptography technology. Some countries regulate the import, use and/or export of certain products with cryptography. HP makes no claims as to the applicability of local country import, use and/or export regulations in relation to the download of this product. If you are located outside the U.S. and Canada you are advised to consult your local country regulations to insure compliance.

Note that only the latest SHC client software is available for download from software.hp.com. HP will not be providing any previous versions of the SHC client software. For backup purposes, please archive a copy of your current SHC client software.
