Musixmatch is a Windows application that comes through with a solution. It lets you take advantage of the Musixmatch database from your desktop, displaying synchronized lyrics when you are listing to music in Spotify, iTunes or Windows Media Player. The application also offers two display modes, one that only shows the current and next verse, and another that lists all the text that can fit in the main window.

From what we could tell from our tests, most of the lyrics provided by Musixmatch are locked, so it will not be possible to edit them. When it can be done, however, the process is very straightforward. The application also allows you to synchronize lyrics with songs manually, which can be very helpful if you notice that they are noticeably out of sync.
