ShowHide is a small app that sits in your computers notification tray and allows you to hide your desktop icon simply by double clicking an empty space on your PC desktop and then just double click on the desktop again to show them again, alternatively you can right click the notification tray icon and select to toggle the icons from the popup menu or use global hotkey. You can also select to run the app at Windows startup from the option on the right click menu.
