A Photoshop/PSP noise removal plug-in designed by ImageSkill. It has a nice, simplified, intuitive, friendly user interface with only a few controls and adjustments. It allows a user to clean up grainy and impulse noise nearly automatically and instantly while preserving the image fine details. The plug-in just helps make the image noticeably more pleasing and lifelike. It is indispensable for reducing high ISO noise produced by small image sensors and for denoising a series of images shot under nearly the same conditions. In use, the plug-in allows the user to select the size and location in the original image of an area from which a characteristic noise pattern may be determined. Instead, a suitable preset may be used. To make the noise reduced image even better, further controls allow the amount of noise reduction to be varied, and it is possible to switch on an “Impulse Noise” remover. The size of impulse or speckle noise may be varied. Finally, the sharpness of the image may also be increased without loss of details. The plug-in is keenly sensitive in detecting various image features and fine details preventing them from extra blurring in the process of noise reduction. The plug-in gives the user the opportunity to create one’s own Presets selecting a noise sample from images that have appropriate areas with quasi-uniform color distribution. The plug-in has a simple Install and Uninstall procedure and is supplied with a brief Help description concerning how this plug-in operates.
