Ocapy, which actually stands for an Original Calculator in Python was designed as a scientific and engineering calculator. It was built in order to implement the well-known reverse polish notation (RPN) available on Hewlett-Packard calculators.

FEATURES:

· PC software written in Python. Runs under Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Seven. Open source software.
· Implement RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) like most Hewlett-Packard calculators.
· Minimal use of the mouse. All calculation functions available from the keyboard. No time lost to switch between mouse option selections and keyboard data entry fields.
· Virtual keyboards adapted to all PC keyboards, including laptop, with minimal use of shift, control keys and the like...
· Multiple (virtually unlimited) precision calculation.
· Support experimental real values. Error propagation automatically estimated and reported (even for intermediate results!)
· Support various kind of objects: real numbers and function, complex numbers and function, list, RPN style programs, name and strings, vectors and matrix, symbolic equation.
· Variables, directories
· Graph: function(s) plotter, scattered data plotters.
· Equation solver, interactive solver and multiple equation solvers like HP48, 49 & 50, ready to implement your own equation libraries.
· Scientific functions on real and complex numbers, implementing the MpMath library.
